Jordan
Overnight flight that includes dinner, breakfast, and onboard entertainment.
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. We are welcomed, assisted, and accompanied to the hotel by Aviatours staff. We meet for dinner.
After breakfast, we head down and take a boat ride to Capernaum (Luke 4:31) to visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the Byzantine chapel at the site of Peter’s House. Then, we continue to Tabgha (Matthew 14:17, 19), the site of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes, the Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7), and Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene.
Our last visit of the day will be Megiddo, the biblical city overlooking the Valley of Armageddon (Revelation 16:16).
Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
We begin the day by visiting Cana, the place where Jesus performed his first miracle: turning water into wine (John 2:11). We continue to Nazareth to visit the place where He lived as a child and explore a typical home of that era.
In the afternoon, we visit the beautiful Bahá'í Gardens in Haifa.
Next, we head to Caesarea (Acts 10:1), the port city built by King Herod. Here, the apostle Paul was imprisoned before being sent to Rome.
Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Our first stop will be at the Mount of Olives (Mark 13:3) with a panoramic view of "old" and "modern" Jerusalem.
We follow the path down the Palm Sunday route to the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36) and the nearby Church of All Nations.
We then take a short walk through the Kidron Valley to Mount Zion (King David’s Tomb) and the Cenacle (John 13:1), the site of the Last Supper. Nearby is the house of Caiaphas.
We arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we visit the modern city of Jerusalem:
We start with the famous Menorah near the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) and the Yad Vashem Museum (Holocaust Museum).
We visit the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the last remnant of the Temple built by King Herod, and explore the Rabbi's Tunnel, which reveals the massive structure of the wall.
In the afternoon, we visit the "small town of Bethlehem" and its Church of the Nativity along with the Milk Grotto (Luke 2:15).
We end the day with a farewell dinner and overnight stay at our hotel in Jerusalem.
We drive south to the Dead Sea, passing by Qumran to visit the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
We then continue to Masada, the fortress-palace built by King Herod. Here, in 73 AD, 960 Jewish zealots committed suicide rather than surrender to the Romans.
Access to the plateau is via a cable car, offering spectacular views of the surrounding plains.
We’ll also enjoy a swim in the mineral-rich Dead Sea, God’s gift for your skin.
Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem. (If your flight departs at midnight, you will be transferred to the airport after dinner.)
Transfer to the airport for our flight back home (or an extension to neighboring countries, Jordan or Egypt).
Arrival back in the United States the same day.
Welcome back! You have just returned from a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
